Hello, I’m Joel Wright and my experience in art spans over 23 years in painting, drawing, and tattooing. I work in a variety of mediums, including graphite, watercolor, oil paintings, charcoal, and tattooing.

I am passionate about helping other artists reach their full potential and have a strong belief in the power of classical atelier training but with a twist of expression and abstraction.

I have been fortunate to have the luxury of studying from some of the best artists in the world (in my opinion) and have developed a unique approach to teaching that combines both classical realism and expressive painting techniques.

I believe that by learning both painting approaches, artists can excel in their ability more efficiently and in less time and at a way lower cost that traditional art school.

I understand that every artist is unique, and that’s why I take a personalized approach to mentoring. I will work closely with you to understand your goals and help you develop a plan to achieve them. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced artist, I will provide guidance and support to help you improve your skills and develop your own unique style.

I believe that art should be accessible to everyone and that’s why my studio is open to everyone, welcoming diversity and LGBTQ+ friendly.
