Joel Wright creates expressive realist portraits with a balance of lifelike detail and painterly atmosphere. Each piece is designed to feel timeless, personal, and worthy of display as an original work of fine art.

The process is simple.

You provide the reference photo, choose your preferred size and style direction, and Joel handles the rest. If you would like to talk through the portrait in more detail, a Zoom or FaceTime consultation is available, but it is not required. Some collectors prefer a personal conversation. Others prefer a simple, streamlined process. Both are welcome.

Portraits may be created in dramatic black and gray or in full color, depending on the mood and presence you want the painting to carry. Joel can also offer guidance on composition, lighting, cropping, and overall presentation when needed.

Each portrait is painted in oil on archival-quality paper or canvas using professional materials and traditional fine art methods. The finished work is hand-signed by the artist and includes authenticity details for your records.

Framing is optional. Custom metal gallery floater frames are available in brushed metal or matte black for a clean, modern presentation. Framing is included in the price. I handle it all and you receive it ready to hang.
